About Compact Motion
Compact Motion GmbH develops and builds highly integrated linear motion modules in which motor, mechanics, control and a patented counterbalancing system are combined in one coherent module. The Rhino product family is aimed in particular at vertical axes that conventionally require counterweights or pneumatics, and reduces energy consumption, system complexity and integration effort. Via daisy-chain linking, modular, scalable machine architectures can in principle be realized on a plug & produce basis. The modules are developed and designed in Switzerland; patents exist in Germany and the USA. Target groups are machine builders (OEMs), system integrators and industrial end users. The company is headquartered in Bern.

Technology and Range of Services
Linear motion modules (Rhino product family)
Highly integrated module with linear motor, guide system, control and patented counterbalancing for vertical axes.
Patented counterbalancing
Replaces counterweights and pneumatics on vertical axes and lowers energy consumption and maintenance effort.
Integrated drive control
Control is integrated in the module and reduces interfaces and wiring effort.
Daisy-chain linking
Enables modular machine concepts and faster commissioning according to the plug-and-produce principle.
