Comtech GmbH, based in Munich, is a laboratory for plastics and adhesives. For over 20 years, the company has been developing high-performance adhesives based on epoxy resins, polyurethanes and hotmelts for the electronics, aerospace, automotive and medical technology industries. Its range of services includes process and product development as well as contract research from the polymer sector, in particular composites, consulting and technical studies, material selection and development, market analyses, and support in application-oriented development such as material characterization, interface phenomena (adhesion promotion) and failure analysis. A further focus is the formulation of high-performance adhesives, coatings and encapsulants. In its own production, specialty adhesives, thermally conductive and electrically insulating encapsulants, as well as toughened and flexibilized epoxy systems with tailored property profiles are manufactured on a small scale. In addition, the company offers analytical services from the fields of research and development, application engineering and quality control, including viscosity measurement according to DIN 53019, thermal analysis (DSC, TGA, TMA), dynamic-mechanical and dielectric analysis (DMTA, DETA), surface analysis (SEM, ESCA, TOFSIMS), GPC, NMR, FTIR, RAMAN, MS as well as outgassing studies (TGA/MS, GC/MS, GC/FTIR).
