About Comttraex

Comttraex is an export company rooted in the Sahel region, supplying organically and conventionally produced hibiscus and other natural ingredients from West Africa to the international market. Comttraex Nig Ltd, based in Abuja, handles sourcing, production, processing, and export; products come from, among others, its own certified organic farm. In 2023, a Public-Private Partnership was established with the Jigawa State Government to transform the hibiscus value chain. The European subsidiary, Comttraex UG in Frankfurt, received EU Organic Certification under Regulation (EU) 2018/848 from ABCert AG in 2026 and has since been distributing small quantities (LCL) to European customers. Certifications also include Ecocert certificates for Organic Farming Europe and USDA NOP USA. The company emphasizes traceability throughout the entire supply chain, from cultivation to export.
