con|energy ag, headquartered in Essen, is an investment and service company for the energy industry. For around 25 years, the company has supported players in the energy sector and has been intensively active in electromobility since about 2010. Through its subsidiary green|connector, municipal utilities are supported with know-how, process standardisation and white-label-capable IT tools such as the green|portal online shop solution; users include STAWAG and more than 14 other municipal utilities. Since 2015, con|energy has been investing in start-ups from Germany and the USA and holds direct stakes in more than 20 companies, including firms from the energy transition and mobility sectors. In addition, con|energy is the organiser and co-organiser of the E-world energy & water trade fair in Essen, the leading trade fair of the European energy industry with over 800 exhibitors. It is a service and investment location without its own manufacturing.
