About Confon AG

Confon AG is a medium-sized, owner-managed industrial company headquartered in Rheineck, Switzerland. The company specializes in the development, manufacture and worldwide distribution of snow chains under the Spikes-Spider brand as well as office accessories under the arlac brand. The company was founded in 1979 by Heiko Ippen; from the very beginning the focus was on high-quality plastic products. In doing so, a new segment was created in the automotive accessories field: the first plastic snow chains fitted with spikes made of stainless steel, which can be mounted on the tires in a matter of seconds and are approved as snow chains worldwide. The products are manufactured in Switzerland and enhanced by finishing techniques. Customers include numerous international automotive manufacturers such as Mercedes, Volkswagen, Audi, BMW competitor Bentley, Fiat, Ford, GM, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lexus, Seat, Skoda, Toyota and Volvo, as well as emergency services such as the German Red Cross, the Johanniter and fire departments.
