About Congaia
Congaia develops and delivers autonomous lighting and information systems for public spaces. The portfolio includes the GAIA XT, DIAMOND and TRIANGLE solar luminaires for street and square lighting, a modular solar system for retrofitting existing bus shelters with grid-independent lighting, and blackout infrastructure for cities and municipalities. All systems are based on durable solar technology, efficient energy storage and intelligent lighting control and operate fully independent of the grid – even at sites without existing infrastructure. Robust hardware, demand-based lighting control and low-maintenance components ensure a long service life and permanently low operating costs, even under demanding environmental conditions. The solutions are specially designed for municipalities, cities and public-sector clients and have been in use for over 15 years in numerous municipalities and public facilities, including the GAIA 100 solar luminaire in Klagenfurt.

Technology and Components
Photovoltaics
Solar modules (e.g. 100 watts of PV power on the GAIA 100) generate the energy on site, independent of the grid.
High-performance LED technology
Long-lasting LEDs with lens optics (up to 40 watts) provide efficient lighting and minimal maintenance.
Energy storage
Large energy storage units enable autonomous operation even under unfavourable weather conditions.
