Erkat, a brand of Construction Tools GmbH based in Dermbach (district of Stadtlengsfeld) in Thuringia, develops, manufactures and sells hydraulic excavator attachment cutters (Drum Cutters) for excavators and skid-steer loaders. The portfolio includes transverse cutting head cutters (ER and ERC series), V-cutters (VC series), longitudinal cutting head cutters (ER-L) and drilling drives (ADU). The main components are manufactured in Germany. In addition, the company produces wear tools such as cutter picks (HexPicks and round-shank picks with tungsten carbide inserts), heat-treated pick holders and retaining clips. Erkat has more than 20 years of experience in the development, manufacture and application of rock cutters.
