About CoolCooking
CoolCooking, headquartered in Meschede-Wallen, is the manufacturer of the CoolCooking Box, a cooling and regeneration cabinet for communal catering. The Box implements the cook-and-chill process: pre-produced meals are actively cooled without cooling fluids, regenerated at a pre-programmed time to 72 °C under core temperature control, and then kept warm until serving. The entire technology is installed in the door to enable quick replacement. The Box runs on just 1.3 kW (6-GN version) or 2.6 kW (12-GN version) at 230 V, requires neither three-phase power nor water or exhaust air, and fits under the kitchen table. Via the digitally networked MeinConnect platform, programs can be controlled, temperatures monitored, and processes checked remotely. Target segments are nurseries, schools, caterers and senior care homes. The Box was jointly developed by managing director Marcus Mues, an experienced chef and party catering business owner, together with an engineer.
