About Cosaco
Cosaco is a manufacturer of copper salts for agricultural and industrial applications. The product portfolio comprises copper hydroxide, copper oxychloride, basic copper carbonate and copper(I) oxide, which are used among other things in crop protection, plant nutrition, animal nutrition, wood preservation, antifouling and further industrial applications. The entire production is based on 100 % recycled copper of the highest purity, which reduces energy consumption and CO2 emissions in the manufacturing process. Both production sites in Hamburg (Germany) and Houston, Texas (USA) are certified for organic farming and feed additive production; from Q3 2023, KOCIDE products will be shipped in recyclable multi-wall paper bags that reduce the plastic content by 90 %. Cosaco is part of the Mitsui & Co., Ltd. group and emerged in early 2022 from the merger of Kocide LLC and Spiess-Urania Chemicals GmbH, whose history in Germany dates back to 1815.
