The independent testing laboratory
Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Hardegsen (Lower Saxony), CRB Analyse Service GmbH is an independent, privately owned accredited testing laboratory currently employing 17 staff. The company offers a coordinated spectrum of analytical methods for solid analysis: asbestos analysis of material, dust, air and liquid samples using scanning electron microscopy (SEM/EDX), X-ray fluorescence analysis (XRF) of major and trace elements, fibre analysis of synthetic mineral fibres (MMMF), carbon analysis (TC, TOC, TIC) as well as gravimetric and physical tests such as bulk density, porosity, particle size distribution and loss on ignition. Customers come primarily from the refractory, glass, ceramics and cement industries as well as from the environmental and construction sectors, engineering firms, authorities and housing associations. The laboratory is accredited to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 (DAkkS, D-PL-19161-01) and regularly participates in interlaboratory comparisons. Samples are accepted exclusively from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Quality management and accreditation
The laboratory has had a quality management system in place since the mid-1990s and has been accredited to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 (currently: 2018) by DAkkS since 1995; this accreditation also fulfils the requirements of DIN EN ISO 9001. For external verification of test methods, interlaboratory comparisons and proficiency tests (including IAG GeoPT, HSL AIMS/SEMS) are conducted regularly.
