About us

CREAT GmbH, headquartered in Ingolstadt, is an engineering service provider for the automotive industry focusing on automotive lighting, electrical/electronic (E/E) engineering, testing and head-up display development. In the lighting field, the company accompanies projects from the concept phase through to production readiness: design and styling (CAS and Class-A modelling), design in CATIA with tolerance analysis, and optical development of non-imaging and imaging systems such as reflectors, light guides, Fresnel lenses, projection systems and head-up displays. In electronics development, CREAT creates circuit diagrams and EMC-compliant layouts, develops LED drivers, embedded software and algorithms, and manufactures control units under its own responsibility: from PCB assembly, housing elements in plastic or aluminium and wiring harnesses through to final assembly with end-of-line testing – as one-off samples, prototypes and small series. In testing, the company offers manual and automated testing, hardware-in-the-loop, component and networked tests (CAN, LIN, Ethernet), EMC and endurance testing as well as test rig development and construction, among other things with its own LightCube test system. Customers include OEMs as well as Tier-1 and Tier-2 suppliers, with projects such as Porsche LMDh, Mercedes EQXX, Audi e-tron GT, OLEDWorks and BMW Motorsport. The company is certified according to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 (TÜV SÜD) and operates sites in Ingolstadt,
