About Cristallina

Cristallina SA has operated the quarry in Val di Peccia in Ticino since 1946, at 1,200 m above sea level at the foot of the Punta della Rossa. It is Switzerland's only marble quarry, from which 14 colour variants of Cristallina marble are extracted, including Cristallina® White Venato, Black&White, Arabescato and Green Striato. Over 5,000 articles can be realised from a single marble; the company offers 15 processing methods. Its services include support during the planning phase, the Esecutivo process through to project realisation, complemented by freely available rendering textures. Fields of application are building construction and architecture, interior design, landscape architecture as well as art and design. References include the Bucherer store on Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich. The quarry has been owned by the Maurino family since 2010. The marble extracted in Peccia is around 250 million years old.
