About CRLN_WTKE
CRLN_WTKE is the design atelier of fashion designer Carolin Woitke in Altenburg (Thuringia). At the atelier on Moritzstraße, individual fashion creations and made-to-measure pieces are created, with high-quality fabrics and precise craftsmanship at the centre. The designs combine tradition and modernity – one of the collections was inspired by the Altenburg farmers' traditional costume, whose elements were reinterpreted in a contemporary way. Carolin Woitke completed a Bachelor's degree in fashion design, an internship at Lever Couture in Berlin and a Master's degree at Domus Academy in Milan, and subsequently worked with labels such as Sansovino 6, Max Mara, the Fondazione Gianfranco Ferré and Salvatore Ferragamo before working for Jil Sander. In 2023 she returned to Altenburg and founded her label. In addition to the tailoring business, the atelier offers workshops and creative programmes, such as dyeing with saffron, as well as consultation appointments by arrangement. For her innovative approaches, she was awarded the ThEx Award as an innovation driver in 2023.
