About CSG Edelstahl
CSG Edelstahl GmbH was founded in 1985 and specializes in products for high-temperature processes in process plants in the petrochemical, oil and gas industries as well as the steel and heat treatment industries. The company supplies ready-to-install products for process furnaces such as steam crackers, reformers and refinery furnaces as well as for industrial furnaces such as roller hearth furnaces, Contig annealing and bell-type liftable-hearth furnaces, acting as the factory representative of renowned manufacturers such as Paralloy Ltd. and Diffusion Alloys. The components are made of heat- and corrosion-resistant chrome-nickel materials using centrifugal casting (horizontal and vertical, up to 6000 mm length, 50–2000 mm outer diameter, up to approx. 3 t piece weight), sand mould casting (furan resin or bentonite, under 1 kg to 1000 kg), investment casting using the lost-wax process, or as stainless steel sheet constructions. The components are then usually completed by welding, machined according to customer specifications and assembled. In addition, CSG Edelstahl offers surface coatings (aluminizing by CVD, chromizing, boriding, TiN/TiC, HVOF) as well as contactless electrochemical machining (ECM) for the internal profiling of centrifugally cast tubes. Delivery is made including all necessary acceptances and certificates. The company is headquartered in Ratingen.

Materials and Manufacturing Processes
Heat-resistant chrome-nickel materials
For centrifugally cast parts in high-temperature environments with high creep rupture strength due to higher carbon content.
Heat- and corrosion-resistant alloys
Standard materials for tubes, sleeves and components in process furnaces.
Stainless steels (sheet)
For welded sheet metal constructions such as tube support plates, muffles and annealing covers, especially at low quantities.
MCrAlY
Coating material for HVOF coatings to protect against high-temperature corrosion.
Centrifugal casting (horizontal and vertical)
Rotationally symmetrical hollow bodies such as tubes and cones up to 6000 mm length and approx. 3 t piece weight.
Sand mould casting (furan resin/bentonite)
Mould castings from under 1 kg to 1000 kg on a semi-automatic moulding plant or by hand moulding.
Investment casting (lost-wax process)
Complex components such as burner heads with high surface quality and tight tolerances.
Aluminizing by CVD
Aluminium diffusion to form a protective aluminium oxide layer against carburization, metal dusting and oxidation.
HVOF coating
High-velocity flame spraying, e.g. for MCrAlY protective layers.
Electrochemical machining (ECM)
Contactless profiling of tube bores for PEP centrifugally cast tubes to maximize heat transfer.
