About CuraCap

CuraCap Schweiz GmbH is a cosmetics company specialized in scalp care, based in Selzach in the canton of Solothurn. The company develops and sells three scalp serums — PURE, SENSITIVE and MEN — each in 50-ml bottles. The formulations come from chemist Dr. Holger Scheib and follow a deliberately reduced formulation philosophy: every ingredient must fulfil a clear functional role in the biological environment of the hair follicle. Fragrances, essential oils, artificial colorants, fillers, silicones, microplastics, nanoparticles and hormones are avoided; animal testing is rejected. The serums are aimed at different scalp environments, such as hormonally influenced phases, reactive scalp, or robust scalp with higher sebum production. Distribution is online, with shipping to Switzerland and Liechtenstein. The company was founded out of a personal motivation, when co-founder Christine Scheib experienced severe scalp sensitivity and hair thinning.

Background

Trigger for the founding: Christine Scheib experienced considerable scalp sensitivity and noticeable hair thinning; Dr. Scheib consequently developed his first highly concentrated serum formulation, which eventually became CuraCap.
