About CUX-BETON
CUX-BETON GmbH & Co. KG has been producing precast concrete elements of every type and size to individual customer specifications since 1960. The range of services extends from architectural concrete up to exposed concrete class SB4, structural precast elements such as girders, downstand beams, beams, columns, façade elements and staircases, prestressed concrete elements with casting bed lengths of up to 70 m, as well as heavyweight and radiation-shielding concrete with aggregates such as hematite, magnetite and baryte at densities of 3.3 to 3.8 t/m³. The company also manufactures bridge elements, special components such as sheet piles and room modules, as well as ammunition containers of the MBH 172 type. The value chain ranges from design and structural analysis, through in-house rebar production with electronically controlled cutting and bending machines, concrete mix design development and surface treatment, to installation by the company's own crews. Reference projects include the Brunsbüttel LNG terminal, the Scharbeutz pier, the Edge Tower in Berlin, Lighthouse Zero in Hamburg's HafenCity, and the research facilities Petra III and European XFEL at DESY. Production takes place at the headquarters in Cuxhaven on a site measuring 60,000 m² after expansion.

Materials & Processes
Concrete up to C 50/60 (standard)
Standard concrete grade for structural precast elements and bridge elements; higher concrete grades also possible.
Architectural / exposed concrete up to SB4
Exposed concrete quality up to class 4 with treated, profiled or inlaid surfaces.
Prestressed concrete
Prestressed concrete elements on a casting bed up to 70 m in length with different prestressing forces across the cross-section.
Reinforced concrete
Reinforced concrete for beams, columns, wall elements and engineering components.
Heavyweight & radiation-shielding concrete (hematite, magnetite, baryte, Fe
Mix designs with densities of 3.3 to 3.8 t/m³ for radiation-shielding and screening components.
Lightweight concrete
Alternative material for structural precast elements and special components.
White cement concrete
For design requirements, e.g. white-tinted bridge precast elements.

Quality
A quality management system with a manual was introduced in-house and certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 in 1998. The dimensional accuracy of the precast elements for radiation-shielding and heavyweight concrete components far exceeds the requirements of DIN 18202 and DIN 18203.

History
- 1960
Founding of Betonwerk Cuxhaven GmbH by master builder Wilhelm Lüdke on 30 November 1960 on a 20,000 m² site at Neue Industriestraße 8; construction of a mixing tower for concrete blocks and ready-mixed concrete.
Expansion of the site by 40,000 m² and construction of the first hall with a casting bed for prestressed concrete girders – the first precast plant with a casting bed in the Elbe-Weser triangle.
Dipl.-Ing. Walter Lüdke, son of the founder, takes over the management.
