About CyPlus

CyPlus GmbH, headquartered in Darmstadt, is a manufacturer of cyanide products and a provider of related technologies and services. The portfolio includes sodium cyanide (CyPlus Sodium Cyanide), potassium cyanide and hydrocyanic acid as well as dissolvable technologies such as SLS Technology (Solid to Liquid Solution). Production takes place at the Wesseling site, among other things using the BMA process, in which methane is reacted with ammonia to form hydrogen cyanide. The company accompanies the entire life cycle chain of its products – from production, transport and handling through to application and disposal – and offers Responsible Care Services such as cyanide training, gap analyses and emergency trainings as well as technical and engineering support for gold mineral processing and metal surface treatment. With more than 100 employees, production sites in Europe and Mexico (joint venture CyPlus Idesa, 40,000 t/year) and sales offices worldwide, CyPlus serves the mining/precious metals, metal surface treatment, chemical intermediates and pharmaceutical industries. Since 2019, the company has been part of the Röhm Group.
