D&S Steuerungssysteme Köln GmbH develops, produces and supports control and bus systems for monitoring and actuating fire dampers (BSK) and smoke extraction systems (ERK). The basis was the 1986 development of the DSÜ1000 bus system by Gerhard Stanzick and his engineering team at the Cologne engineering office ITEX; in 1994 the sales company D&S was founded, and in 2003 the merger formed today's GmbH. The portfolio includes bus systems such as BSK-500 (spur bus), RB-500 (ring bus), ERK-500, BSK-500-PL (Powerline) and DS-AS-Interface, as well as TÜV-approved compact controls (BSK-4, BSK-8-DE), which are also delivered pre-assembled in control cabinets with clear-view doors. In addition, the company provides display and operating modules (BK-Tableau, LC display, touch panel HMI, iPad touch panel) and the web-based visualisation software VISIO. A key focus is the modernisation of existing and discontinued systems (KOMES, WI-Bus, RKS1000, AS-i) with BACring technology and connection to BMS/DDC systems via BACnet or Modbus. Customers include the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg and Klinikum Lohr. Headquarters are in Cologne, with another location in Wandlitz near Berlin.
