About Dämmstoff-Fabrik Klein

Dämmstoff-Fabrik Klein GmbH is a specialist in refining the natural raw materials vermiculite and perlite and manufactures insulating materials, loose fills, aggregates and customer-specific molded parts from them. Vermiculite is expanded in the company's own exfoliation operation at 800 to 1000 °C without additives; since 1979 an own perlite expansion plant has been available. Since 1985 the company has produced, under the Kawalite brand, temperature-resistant (up to 1,150 °C) vermiculite boards, blocks and molded parts, among other things as spacer rings, housings, protective caps and lost core parts in aluminium castings. Further product lines are the Hapuflam fire protection fabric and the Staudt fire protection system for cable penetrations with fire resistance class S90 according to DIN 4102-9. Customers include the construction industry, electrical industry, automotive industry, foundries, power plant and boiler construction, safe and vault construction, shipbuilding, horticulture and pet supplies. The company has been on the market since 1959 and is based in Bubenheim (Rhineland-Palatinate).
