Daqo New Energy Corp. is a Chinese manufacturer of high-purity polysilicon for the global photovoltaic industry. Founded in 2007, the company produces and sells high-purity polysilicon to photovoltaic manufacturers, who further process it into ingots, wafers, cells and modules. Production is carried out by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) in closed-loop reactors at the Shihezi site in Xinjiang; total nameplate capacity is 305,000 metric tons per year. Former sites in Chongqing (silicon/wafers) and Nanjing (modules) were discontinued or sold in 2012 and 2018 respectively. The company is registered as a VIE structure in the Cayman Islands and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: DQ); in 2025 revenue was USD 665.4 million with a production of 123,652 MT.
