DATACON ENGINEERING GmbH was founded in 1997 as an electrical engineering consultancy and develops and manufactures custom electrical engineering and automation solutions for machinery and equipment engineering. At the headquarters in Heigenbrücken, low-voltage switchgear assemblies, power distributors and installation distributors are manufactured in accordance with EN 61439 and EN 60204-1 – as individually planned one-off systems or in small series. Standards-compliant planning, dimensioning and documentation are handled by the company's own engineering departments for hardware and software development. Production uses modern manufacturing methods, including a Kiesling Perforex CNC machining centre; the finished switchgear cabinets are tested in the test field through documented intermediate and final production inspections. The service portfolio also includes electrical assembly, electrical installation and building automation, plant and special machinery construction, mechanical component manufacturing, process control technology with the BLM batch tracking system for industrial heat treatment, as well as heating centres and CHP plants including grid operator registration. Customers come from manufacturing, machinery and plant engineering, chemicals, the energy sector, the public sector, and drinking water and wastewater technology; the solutions are deployed worldwide.
