About Datum Coffee
Datum Coffee is developing a connected coffee system consisting of an espresso machine and coffee grinder, combined with an open recipe platform. The devices automatically handle all grinding and brewing parameters: after scanning a coffee bag once, the machine applies the recipe of the roastery partner. The espresso machine offers an automatic tamping function, preheats the brew head during grinding, automatically controls pressure, flow and temperature, and features an integrated milk steamer as well as a 0.8-liter water tank with filter. The grinder operates with 64-mm burrs, weight-based grinding and a brushless motor with adjustable speed. The devices are designed in Austria; no information is available on in-house manufacturing, locations or certifications.
