daum electronic GmbH, based in Fürth/Bavaria, is an internationally active manufacturer of bicycle, elliptical trainer and treadmill ergometers in functional and ergonomic design. Founded in 1978 by Wilhelm Daum, the company launched its business unit "Ergometers, fitness and training equipment with chip card" in 1994 and has since sold more than 750,000 devices worldwide. Development, software, production and assembly take place at the headquarters in Fürth – the products have stood for "Made in Germany" for more than 20 years. The range of services includes consulting, research and development, production and assembly, quality management and product management. The daum brand stands for electronic drive technology products with its own patent for so-called "Swing Feet", which convey an authentic sense of curve and balance during training. In addition to fitness and training equipment for private and business customers, the company serves the medical technology (ergometry), electronic drive technology and e-bike/pedelec sectors.
