About DD Compound
DD Compound specialises in the development and manufacture of auxiliary materials for vacuum infusion. The company develops products that make the infusion process safer and more cost-effective, enabling the implementation of projects that would otherwise be too risky. The products are used worldwide in the composites industry – from 100-metre rotor blades to boats and automotive applications through to the smallest custom components. In addition to the auxiliary materials, DD Compound manufactures sandwich components with visible carbon and a visible layer as well as complete components in a one-shot infusion process, including all plies, core materials and inserts. Projects include the first infused series-production monocoque with FIA approval for Revolution Race Cars, body components for Radical Sports Cars, F1 racing boats and safety cockpits for P1 Superstock. The company also develops custom solutions for customers in the wind industry and other sectors for their manufacturing processes. The company is headquartered in Ibbenbüren.

Materials & Processes
MTI infusion process
Infusion process with which extremely lightweight sandwich components with only one visible layer and perfect surface quality can be manufactured.
Carbon (visible carbon)
Used for visible components such as hulls and body components with high surface quality.
XPS core material
Lightweight core material for sandwich components, e.g. in the hull of the P1 Superstock boats.
Core materials
Are incorporated in the one-shot infusion process together with all plies and inserts.
Infusion resin
Resin for the vacuum infusion of fibre composite components.
