About DD-Optik

Since 1990, DD-Optik GmbH has been manufacturing highly precise, custom optical components at its Kirchdorf im Wald location. The portfolio includes planar substrates, spherical lenses, laser optics, micro lenses for medical technology, radiation-resistant optics for space and reactor applications, achromats, mounted lenses, and special shapes such as D-cut and stripe lenses. Production ranges from prototypes to large series on modern CNC optical machines combined with conventional manufacturing. All optical glasses as well as quartz, silicon, germanium, magnesium fluoride and calcium fluoride are processed; elements with diameters from 3.0 to 250 mm are manufactured with center thickness tolerances from ±0.005 mm, surface qualities up to Lambda/50 PV and microroughness below 2 Å (superpolish). In addition, the company offers metrological and process-related services such as radius, fit and microroughness measurement, MRF correction, centering, edge blackening, and stripping of coatings. Coatings are applied in cooperation with DDO-Coating; lens assembly is also offered as an OEM service. Customers come from laser and laser cutting technology, medical technology, metrology, photographic and exposure optics, as well as aerospace and nuclear and fusion technology.
