About De Martin GmbH Hightech+Surfaces
De Martin GmbH Hightech+Surfaces, formerly NovoPlan GmbH, is part of the De Martin Group and finishes workpiece surfaces using electroplating, chemical, PVD/PACVD and hybrid processes. The portfolio includes electrolytic coatings, electroless nickel as well as PVD coatings such as the sputtered CERODEM® AlCrN coating for wear protection, corrosion protection and increased performance over millions of operating hours. High-performance materials such as molybdenum, titanium and technical ceramics are also finished. The solutions are flexibly tailored to customer requirements. Target industries are medical technology, energy & electronics, textile machinery, mechanical and plant engineering, mobility, mould and tool making, semiconductors & electrical engineering, and defence technology. As of 23 September 2025, NovoPlan GmbH was renamed as part of its integration into the De Martin Group; the Wängi site in Switzerland is part of the group network.

Materials & Processes
PVD coating (e.g. CERODEM® AlCrN)
Sputtered hard material layer for wear, heat and corrosion protection, e.g. on industrial valves.
PACVD coating
Plasma-enhanced chemical vapour deposition for functional layers.
Electroless Nickel
Uniform, corrosion-resistant layer, also suitable for food-contact applications.
Electroplating
Electrolytic finishing for functional and protective purposes.
Molybdenum
High-performance material whose finishing enables extreme stresses.
Titanium
Lightweight high-performance material for demanding coating applications.
Technical ceramics
High-performance material for wear- and temperature-critical applications.
