About Decor-Spielzeug
Decor-Spielzeug e. K. manufactures pedagogical wooden toys, predominantly the so-called Waldorf toys developed in the 1920s in craft lessons at Waldorf schools. Production is carried out in an artisanal, craft-based manner in the company's own workshop in Bergen (district of Nienbergen) in the Wendland. Only native woods are processed; surface treatment is applied depending on the product using hot wax, oils or wood glazes, for example from Biofa. The company places value on ecological processing and sensible reuse of residual materials. All items are manufactured in accordance with the European CE standard. Since its founding in 1957 in Kassel, the company has been operated in the third family generation and employs five staff at the Bergen site who are responsible for production, sales and the coordination of suppliers.
