About the Roastery
DeKaffee is a coffee roastery with a manufactury and retail shop in Erkner near Berlin. The roastery processes selected raw coffee of the Arabica and Robusta varieties, sourced directly from plantations in Africa, Asia and South America. Roasting is done in small batches using a gentle long-time roasting process on a 15-kg Giesen drum roaster at temperatures of 180 to 230 degrees Celsius for 13 to 17 minutes. In this way, up to 25 varieties are offered as whole beans or ground. Distribution takes place via the retail shop in Erkner, an online shop, regional partners such as Edeka and REWE, as well as cafés and restaurants. In addition, the roastery creates individual coffee blends for gastronomy and companies, for example for the office, as employee gifts or for resale. In 2025, the company was handed over by its previous owner Dagmar to master roaster Tobias Mehrländer and business partner Marlen Ring, and it remains at the Erkner location.
