About Dental Axess
Dental Axess is a partner specialised in digital dentistry serving dentists, dental laboratories and clinics. The company supports digitalisation projects from the analysis of existing processes and the selection of hardware and software through to installation, training and ongoing support (Dental Axess Total Care). Its own services include treatment planning and CAD design (Xplan/Xflow, SoftSmile VISION, Arcad), AI-supported automatic designs such as aligner trim paths and model basing, as well as the manufacturing of clear aligners, surgical drill guides and models using its own 3D printing. In addition, materials and components for common milling systems (imes-icore, Roland, Sirona) as well as implant components (Elos Accurate) for systems such as Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Camlog and Astra Tech are distributed. The Dental Axess Academy offers seminars and courses for further education. One location of the lab and denture clinic business was in Kelowna, Canada; this business was taken over by Argen Canada as of 31.01.2025.
- Processes
- 3D printing of clear aligners (directly printed instead of thermoformed), 3D printing of surgical guides for implantology, 3D printing of restorations from highly filled composite (Digital Press Stereolithography, SprintRay, 3D printing of models (digital models for aligner manufacturing), In-house manufacturing of clear aligners (digital workflow, savings of up to 60% vs. outsourcing), Treatment planning & design services (outsourcing of treatment planning and CAD design, e.g. via, Automated AI designs (aligner trim path, bracket removal, model basing), Aligner cutting with Laser Aligner Cutter
- Materials
- Photocurable materials (photopolymer resins for 3D printing), Shape-memory transparent aligner material (Graphy), Highly filled composite (3D-printed restorations, SprintRay Midas), Dental milling and material supplies (catalogue, no specific materials named), Implant components (Elos Accurate, implant systems BioHorizons, Camlog, Dentsply Sirona, Nobel, Photopolymer resins (photocurable materials), Highly filled composite, Titanium (implant components)
