About DMU
Dental Manufacturing Unit GmbH (DMU), based in Puch bei Hallein in the state of Salzburg, develops and manufactures automation systems for the production of clear aligners in dental laboratories, clinics, and industrial aligner manufacturers. The product portfolio includes the Laser Aligner Cutter (LAC) for laser-based trimming and marking of aligners, separating machines (Separator Standard and Pin Over Bar) for non-destructive separation from the model, the automated trimming system AutoTrim, the Suction Unit for extraction, and the Clear Aligner Automat (CAA) as a compact complete system for automated aligner manufacturing. In addition to machine manufacturing, DMU offers software and firmware development, electronics development, precision mechanics, as well as service and original spare parts. The systems process thermoformable dental splint material and are used by dental professionals in 36 countries. The transfer from prototypes through industrialization to series production is carried out with partners; key focus areas are CNC technology, preventive maintenance, and software development.
