Specialized laboratory for metal-free dental technology
Dentalwerk Thier is a specialized dental laboratory in Munich-Pasing focusing on metal-free dental technology. Since its founding in 2007, only metal-free, biocompatible dental restorations have been produced – entirely without metal frameworks. The laboratory produces full-ceramic crowns and bridges, zirconia restorations, zirconia abutments for implants, as well as metal-free frameworks and dentures made from the high-performance polymer PEEK, including prosthetics for ceramic implants. Production is fully digital via CAD/CAM: intraoral scans (STL data) are designed and milled in-house, and every restoration is subsequently hand-finished and inspected by a master dental technician. In addition to CAD/CAM milling, the methods include hand ceramic layering and the relining of PEEK restorations with denture acrylic. The laboratory works exclusively with dental practices and supplies them throughout Germany, on request via 24h express with shipment tracking. Alongside founder Stephan Thier (MDT, expert assessor for metal-free dental technology), the laboratory is led by Swantje Thier (DT aesthetics management) and Mr. Oosterlaak (MDT, laboratory management).

Materials and methods
Zirconia
High-strength, metal-free material for heavily stressed areas such as crowns, bridges and stress-free zirconia abutments.
Full ceramics
Light-transmitting material for crowns, bridges, veneers and aesthetic anterior restorations without a dark margin.
PEEK
Lightweight high-performance polymer for metal-free frameworks, partial and full dentures with shock-absorbing effect.
Denture acrylic
Used for relining PEEK restorations; alternative materials are available in cases of incompatibility.
SDS ceramic implant
One-piece ceramic implant for fully metal-free, implant-supported restorations.
CAD/CAM production
Digital design and milling of metal-free restorations from STL/intraoral scan data in-house.
3D printing
For metal-free orthodontic solutions; process currently in development.

Additional services
Quality and certification
Every restoration is hand-finished and inspected by a master dental technician before it reaches the practice. The materials are biocompatible and documented down to the batch; try-ins in the laboratory and controlled tooth shade determination ensure fit and aesthetics.
