About Dentavenir

DENTAVENIR GmbH & Co. KG from Nuremberg developed, manufactured and distributed orthodontic appliances produced by 3D printing. The portfolio comprised removable, invisible braces without metal brackets – with or without labial arch – including the D-Vigner-Bertoni plate and expansion plate, the D-Vainer retainer and space maintainer, as well as the D-Vainer-Trauma Acute for protecting traumatized loose teeth. Production was fully digital: orthodontic practices transmit STL data captured by intraoral scan via a digital order form; using proprietary software, the appliance is planned in the laboratory and printed on 3D printers in less than five hours. Subsequently, curing took place under UV and nitrogen in a special unit, followed by a final post-treatment. The material exhibits Class IIa biocompatibility and is MDR-compliant; for the individual material blend, the company cooperated with various material manufacturers. Customers were orthodontic practices, with billing handled through the statutory health insurance funds. In 2021, the company filed a patent for the orthodontic appliance including its manufacturing process; since 2022 it has been in liquidation.
