About DEPA
DEPA Gesellschaft für Kranauslegerbauteile mbH, based in the Innovationspark Leverkusen, specializes in the manufacture of components made from high-strength fine-grain structural steels for the mobile crane sector and related fields such as aerial work platforms, crane construction and construction machinery. On approximately 12,000 m² of production space, structurally and technically demanding welded assemblies are produced: telescopic booms for truck cranes with load capacities from 80 t to 1,200 t, carrier bodies, slewing platforms, support girders, bracing elements and large-format complex components with unit weights up to 30 t and lengths up to 30 m. The production range includes partially and fully mechanized welding processes (MAG, pulsed MAG, SAW, laser-hybrid), adaptive welding robots, camera-monitored internal welding, a fully automated profile fabrication line and painting according to customer requirements. The Systems Engineering department supports customers with design-related issues. The Polish subsidiary TEKRA, founded in 2008 in Gubin, manufactures components up to 20 t as a supplier, including mechanical finishing and assembly. Customers include leading manufacturers of mobile cranes and aerial work platforms.
