About DER DREHSTUHL
DER DREHSTUHL has been manufacturing in a manufactory in Berlin-Schöneberg since 1991, producing individual ergonomic office chairs, work stools, swivel stools, standing aids, saddle chairs, pendulum stools, counter chairs and special chairs for laboratories, medical practices, daycare centers, hairdressers and physiotherapy. Every seating furniture piece is configured from modules such as seat surfaces, backrests, armrests, casters, base stars and gas springs according to the customer's anatomical requirements and delivered fully assembled ready for use. The core of the seat surfaces and backrests uses beechwood plywood molding, supplemented by polyamide, polypropylene, polyurethane, visco foam, composite foam upholstered surfaces and covers in new wool, acrylic, faux leather, microfiber and leather. Mechanisms, die-cast aluminum base stars and gas springs are manufactured by long-standing German and Italian suppliers; the upholstery work is carried out by specialized upholsterers in Bavaria and Thuringia. In addition to new production, the owner-managed sole proprietorship operates a spare parts warehouse and repairs office chairs of all brands. Customers include offices, home offices, daycare centers, laboratories, medical practices, studios and hotels; the main market is Germany with nationwide shipping.

Forms the core of seat surfaces and backrests and is preferred for its high impact, bending and compressive strength and repairability.
Multiplex laminated wood
Used for stool seats such as the wooden stool WOODY with 18 mm thickness.
Aluminum die casting
Base stars made from optimized die-cast products, LGA and BIFMA certified.
Polyamide (glass-fiber reinforced)
Material for caster housings and base stars with high load capacity.
Polypropylene
Recyclable material for plastic components.

Bands of hard-floor casters as well as armrest pads and PU seats.
