About Derwa Technology
Derwa Technology SA, based in Saignelégier in the Swiss Jura, is a supplier for job manufacturing by electroerosion. Founded in 1986, the company manufactures components by wire erosion (17 machines), sink erosion and erosive high-speed/micro-drilling with hole diameters from 0,1 mm, complemented by precision CNC milling for electrode manufacturing as well as laser marking, micro blasting, polishing and ultrasonic cleaning. Materials are all metals, in particular stainless steel and tungsten carbide. Customers come from the watch industry, micro-mechanics, machine tool building and aerospace. On 600 m2 in a renovated industrial building on Rue du Pâquier, the company operates a modern machinery fleet from Mitsubishi, AgieCharmilles, Charmilles and Trotec as well as its own testing and measuring equipment (Tesa, Keyence, Marcel Aubert, Trimos).

Materials & Processes
Wire erosion (4-axis, erosive turning)
Conical and inclined contours, erosive turning via B-axis, wire diameter 0,03–0,25 mm, water or oil dielectric, partly twin-wire technique.
Sink erosion (3-axis, planetary & orbital)
Complex cavities and shapes with electrode loaders up to 32 positions and Erowa measuring bench.
High-speed drilling/micro-drilling (EDM)
Holes from Ø 0,1 mm with tungsten carbide electrodes; also removal of broken thread taps and bits.
Precision CNC milling
Manufacturing of complex electrodes up to 35'000 U/min with tool loader up to 93 positions.
Laser marking/engraving (MOPA, Trotec)
Engraving in all metals, color engraving on stainless steel, deep engraving with rotary axis.
Sand blasting/micro blasting
Surface finishing and finishing of the parts at blasting stations.
Hand polishing (felt and diamond)
Fine grinding and polishing with Pizzi grinders for high-quality surfaces.
Ultrasonic cleaning / Bio-Circle
Low-particle cleaning of the manufactured parts before inspection and shipping.
Stainless steel
Main material for erosive manufacturing, among other things for color engraving by MOPA laser.
Tungsten carbide
Hard metal as a material and electrode technology in erosive micro-drilling.
