Dessauer Schaltschrank- und Gehäusetechnik GmbH (DSG) is a medium-sized metal and sheet metal processing company in Dessau-Roßlau. The company manufactures customer-specific control cabinets, enclosure solutions, welded assemblies, vending machine enclosures, machine and plant enclosures as well as console systems and weatherproof enclosures. Its customers come from rail and marine technology, communications and vending technology, mechanical engineering and environmental technology. DSG supports customers throughout the entire development process – from idea development via design and prototype construction through to the test phase with acceptance procedures (also in the presence of OEM, Tier 1 and Tier 2), change loops and series production. Production is predominantly in steel using modern CNC machines, welding technology and in-house painting; production takes place in modern, heated manufacturing halls at the Dessau-Roßlau site. A patented battery container, developed by a former apprentice, accounts for a large share of revenue. The company's origins lie in the 'control cabinet construction' division of the Dessauer Gasgerätewerk, part of the Junkers works.
