About Detagto
Detagto GmbH is a software company founded in Stuttgart in 2022 that offers a marking-free traceability solution for the manufacturing industry. Instead of applying barcode labels or laser-engraved codes, the process uses the natural, individual surface structures of components: the IRIS software creates a digital fingerprint of around one kilobyte from an image captured with standard industrial cameras and thereby identifies each individual part unambiguously and forgery-proof. The solution is available as an inline system for production lines as well as a manually operated standalone system for spot checks, returns and regression parts. Data processing takes place on-premise or in the cloud; Detagto supports integration into existing systems via OPC UA, REST API and file crawler. The process is robust against scratches, contamination and surface aging and allows the distinction of many billions of components. Before deployment, the company offers feasibility analyses.

Processes and Materials
Marking-free Traceability (Tagless Identification)
Identification of individual parts via natural surface structures without marking or process change, for any materials with individual surface structure.
Inline System
Integration of standard industrial cameras into existing production lines, triggered e.g. by a voltage pulse from the PLC.
Standalone System
Manually operated system for quality assurance, spot checks, and returns and regression parts analysis.
System Integration
Connection to existing systems via OPC UA, REST API and file crawler; data storage on-premise or in the cloud.
