About Detectomat Systems

Detectomat Systems GmbH develops, produces and distributes fire alarm systems and voice alarm systems directly from the manufacturer. Founded in 1977, this medium-sized company headquartered in Ahrensburg is part of the DEF Networks, one of the largest independent manufacturers of technical fire protection systems in Europe. The product portfolio ranges from individual fire detectors, multi-sensor detectors, combination signal devices, fire alarm control panels, loudspeakers and voice alarm control panels to complex fire detection systems and voice alarm systems. Production takes place at the Detectomat Production Unit (DPU) at the Ahrensburg site, an independent business unit focused on development, manufacturing and quality management. With the acquisition of simax electronics GmbH at the end of 2021, the portfolio was expanded to include voice alarm systems; simax develops and distributes voice alarm systems in Aachen. The systems are used in kindergartens, schools, industrial and administrative buildings, hotels, airports, shopping centers, stadiums and power plants, and are internationally present through own subsidiaries in ten other countries as well as the DEF Network, including in projects such as the Eurotunnel and the Louvre in Paris.
