Detectomat Systems GmbH, headquartered in Ahrensburg, is a specialized manufacturer of fire detection and voice alarm systems. Founded in 1977, the company is part of the DEF Networks, one of the largest independent manufacturers of fire protection systems in Europe. In Ahrensburg, the products are developed, produced and distributed in the company's own production unit DPU (Detectomat Production Unit); the DC3500 fire detection system is tested and certified by VdS and BOSEC. At the end of 2021, simax electronics GmbH in Aachen was acquired, whose moses voice alarm system is certified in accordance with EN 54-16.
