About Deuteron
Deuteron GmbH is an owner-managed chemical company based in Achim near Bremen that has been developing, manufacturing and distributing additives for the paint, coating and varnish industry as well as for plastics and lubricant applications since 1977. The portfolio includes matting agents based on polymethylurea (PMU), structuring and texturing agents, wax additives based on polyethylene, polypropylene and polyamide, surface additives, conductivity enhancers and antistatic agents, thickening and thixotropic agents, wetting and dispersing agents, degassing agents, defoamers and UV initiators. A key focus is customized development: additives are tailored to individual systems, solvents and parameters, also in small quantities. As a halogen-free PTFE alternative, Deuteron offers PMU-based additives for coating films and lubricants. Distribution is handled worldwide through its own field sales staff and a network of local distributors.

Basis for wax additives providing scratch resistance, antiblocking and wax effects.
Polypropylene wax
Powder-form wax additive for surface effects in coatings.
Polyamide (amide wax)
Wax additive for silk-matt surfaces and improved slip properties.
Quaternary ammonium compounds (TAA/TAE salts)
Basis of the conductivity enhancers and antistatic additives in liquid and solid form.
Xanthan
Basis of biopolysaccharide thickening and thixotropic agents.
CoPolyester
Thermoplastic texture agent for coarse surface effects.
