Deutsche Tamoil GmbH, headquartered in Hamburg, operates more than 400 filling stations nationwide under the HEM brand and is thus one of the ten largest filling station companies in Germany. The company belongs to the Dutch Oilinvest Group, which operates around 2,450 stations in Europe and maintains its own refinery in Hamburg. The product range includes branded fuels such as Super E5, Super E10, diesel and truck diesel as well as LPG, CNG and AdBlue, which are transported from over 30 delivery points, refineries and tank farms. Car washes are offered at more than 300 locations; around 2,000,000 washes are performed annually, and car wash facilities are continuously modernized. The offering is complemented by the filling station shop, gastronomy with SoulSpot coffee and Bistro Vital, private-label lubricants and antifreeze, and customer cards for commercial customers with vehicle fleets. Since 2025, the HEM app has been available for iOS and Android, featuring a price comparison across 15,000 filling stations, a lowest-price guarantee and mobile payment.
