Deutsche Vialit GmbH was founded in 1925 in Bonn-Beuel as one of the first manufacturers of bitumen emulsions and has been active in the field of new construction and maintenance of roads and traffic surfaces for 100 years. The company produces cold asphalts such as Vialit Viacore (CE asphalt per EN 13108) and the reactively curing cold asphalt Rephalt, cold mix (Viamac Plus), cold and hot pouring compounds, bitumen emulsions, seam, edge and demarcation materials, slurry coats, joint sealing strips as well as release and cleaning agents. The bitumen emulsions are manufactured on the company's own emulsification systems at the main site in Bonn-Beuel; cold mix is produced in conventional asphalt mixing plants and stored in stock. In addition to product manufacturing, Vialit offers construction services, including SAMI layers, tack coating, asphalt reinforcement, seam adhesive, mechanical crack repair with Refug 2K, edge sealing as well as jointing and coating of silage bunker facilities. According to its own statements, the company ranks among the leading providers of SAMI layers and operates nationwide and in neighboring countries with four sites in Bonn, Brunsbüttel, Roßdorf and Düsseldorf.

Quality
Since 1997, Vialit has maintained a QM system per DIN ISO 9001:2015 with seamless in-house production control, voluntary external monitoring by accredited testing institutes and core drilling samples from construction sites. The company's own quality laboratory is equipped, among other things, with a laser light scattering measuring device, Dynamic Shear Rheometer, Vialit Cohesion Pendulum and a testing press for Marshall stability.

Purchase of the property and buildings of the 'Chemische Actiengesellschaft Beuel' – today's main site.
- 1925
Foundation of Deutsche Vialit Gesellschaft m.b.H. on 11.11.1925 in Beuel on the Rhine as one of the first manufacturers of bitumen emulsion.
- 1926
Connection to the Beuel-Grossenbusch industrial railway; delivery of 30,000 t of bitumen emulsion; establishment of operating facilities in Brunsbüttel, Fürstenberg an der Oder and Braunau am Inn.
- 1932
First patent application 'Process for the production of stable bituminous dispersions'.

Site established in Ostritz (Upper Lusatia).

End of the war: operations in the East expropriated; restart in Bonn in 1946.
