About Devanthro
Devanthro is a robotics and AI company (GmbH) founded in 2018 in Munich. The company develops and manufactures humanoid robots, so-called Robodies, which combine artificial intelligence with human teleoperation and provide 24/7 assistance, companionship and care support. The robots (Robody) are developed and built in-house – including mechanics, actuators, sensors (4K fisheye RGB, millimeter-wave radar, stereo microphone) and software based on ROS2 and Nvidia Jetson compute. The roots lie in the anthropomimetic humanoid Roboy (University of Zurich, 2013) and the Roboy student group at TU Munich (from 2014); in total, three hardware generations have been developed. Since 2023, Robody Cares have been deployed in private households and care facilities, and since 2024 in the first home pilots with seniors. Customers include care organizations, private households and research partners such as Charité Berlin and the Deutsches Museum Munich.
