DEVEX Verfahrenstechnik GmbH is a global provider of process engineering solutions with focuses in extraction, evaporation, drying and thermal process engineering. The name DEVEX stands for Drying – EVaporation – EXtraction. The company develops and manufactures customized turnkey plants, including facilities for the production of plant extracts and flavors, for thermal separation of substance mixtures, for vacuum and freeze drying of fruits and vegetables, as well as complete plants for instant coffee including roasting, extraction, aroma recovery, standardization and spray drying. The portfolio includes batch and continuous extractors, falling-film and shell-and-tube evaporators, vacuum and freeze dryers as well as pilot plants and a Test Center for customer-specific trials. The sister company DEVEX Anlagenbau GmbH offers assembly, piping construction, steel construction as well as service and maintenance of process plants. Main customers are the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries as well as related sectors. From its headquarters in Warendorf in the Münsterland region, 40 employees serve customers worldwide, including in Vietnam, Indonesia and South America.

Extraction
Recovery of ingredients from natural raw materials with over 300 different solvents and raw materials, including ethanol, methanol, isopropanol, hexane and pentane.
Evaporation
Concentration of liquid multi-component mixtures with plate and shell-and-tube evaporators, falling- and rising-film as well as circulation evaporators and vapor recompression.
Drying
Gentle vacuum and freeze drying of foods, fruits, vegetables and plant extracts.
Aroma Recovery / Rectification
Recovery and enrichment of aromas and distillates; invested in a new pilot plant in 2025.
Membrane filtration
Reverse osmosis and membrane filtration, among others for cold brew coffee, tea and concentrates.
