At its Hillesheim site in the Vulkaneifel region, dfg Drahtwarenfabrik GmbH manufactures wire baskets, workpiece carriers, grilles as well as bent and stamped parts made from wire and sheet metal. The product range includes washing and transport baskets, protective grilles for fans and blowers in special machinery and engine construction, perforated-metal boxes and stacking boxes, paint hooks as well as plastic mats and washing grilles made from PP, PA and PE. Materials processed include steel, stainless steel, aluminium, special and spring steels; an 800 m² materials warehouse holding wire, profiles, meshes and welded wire mesh enables rapid response times. The value chain extends from bending and stamping (wire diameters up to 12 mm, with or without threads) to welding in resistance, MIG/MAG and TIG processes, through to surface treatment processes such as electropolishing, pickling, hot-dip galvanizing, powder coating and electroplating. Customers are found in cleaning technology, painting processes, storage and transport applications as well as laboratory, medical and pharmaceutical sectors. Production is CO2-neutral thanks to an in-house combined heat and power unit.
