About DFKI Industrials
DFKI Industrials GmbH (until 2020 Ground Truth Robotics GmbH), headquartered in Bremen, develops, manufactures and sells robotics systems and solutions based on Artificial Intelligence. The portfolio comprises autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV-150), terrestrial systems for exploration, monitoring and scouting (TIV-A-X, TMV-X, TSV-X) as well as consulting and software solutions in the field of AI. The foundation is provided by research results of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI). The systems are used, among other things, in the offshore oil and gas industry, in maritime applications and in industrial monitoring, for example in 3D reconstruction of underwater sensor data and autonomous navigation in difficult terrain. In the FlatFish project (2013–2017), the company developed an AUV for the inspection of underwater structures together with Shell Brazil and the Brazilian Institute of Robotics.
