The company specializes in custom-made glass systems and glass apparatus, both as individual pieces and in small series, based on finished drawings or rough customer ideas. The product portfolio includes condensers with up to 5.0 m² of cooling surface, jacketed reaction vessels up to 140 liters, triple-walled reaction vessels up to 100 liters, and reactor flasks up to a nominal volume of 200 liters; pipe diameters up to 465 mm are processed. Founded in 1916 as a thermometer factory in Geraberg/Thuringia, the company is today run in its fourth generation by Axel Zitzmann. Since the late 1980s, DGW has exclusively manufactured high-quality glass products; its headquarters are in the Bestenheid II industrial park in Wertheim am Main.
