About DATC
Diamond And Tungsten Carbide Europe (DATC) is a French manufacturer of coring and drilling products headquartered in Besançon with a branch office in Berlin. The company develops and manufactures coring systems, diamond bits (including impregnated bits of the MAXPAX and Elite Wireline series), PDC tools made of synthetic diamond, down-the-hole hammers (TORNADO, SHORT TORNADO, SPEED DRILL), overburden systems, tungsten carbide lost tools for micropiles, earth augers, geotechnical equipment (including pressuremeter accessories) as well as drilling and injection accessories. Manufacturing encompasses mechanical machining, metallurgy and assembly at a modern production site in Besançon, where the company's own research and development is also based; custom products made to customer requirements are part of the offering. Materials used are European quality steel for drill rods, diamond and synthetic diamond (PDC) as well as tungsten carbide. The products serve the extraction of samples for geological and mining investigations as well as geotechnical applications. DATC builds on more than 45 years of experience in the French and international market and also advises customers on site. The Besançon plant has been ISO 9001 certified since 2014.
