About DIAS Infrared
DIAS Infrared GmbH, based in Dresden, develops and manufactures highly precise systems for non-contact temperature measurement in industry and research. Founded in 1992, the owner-managed company with more than 60 employees produces stationary and portable thermal imaging cameras (PYROVIEW), infrared line cameras (PYROLINE), digital pyrometers (PYROSPOT), temperature switches (PYROSWITCH), blackbody radiators (PYROTHERM) as well as pyroelectric infrared sensors and arrays (PYROSENS). The portfolio is complemented by the in-house developed software PYROSOFT and application-specific system solutions, including fire early detection systems (PYROVIEW FDS) and furnace monitoring systems (PYROINC). The products are developed, manufactured and serviced at the German sites in Dresden, Saalfeld and Magdeburg – from consulting and assembly and commissioning through to calibration service with a PTB-traceable calibration laboratory (0–2500 °C). Applications include the metal and glass industries, cement, plastics, solar and semiconductor industries, power plants, paper, as well as fire early detection and research. Through its US subsidiary DIAS Infrared Corp., founded in 2012 in West Boylston, MA, the company serves the North American market.

Measurement Methods and Spectral Ranges
Thermography (thermal imaging cameras)
Non-contact acquisition of two-dimensional temperature distributions on almost all materials from –20 °C to 3000 °C.
Infrared line cameras
Fast measurement of temperature profiles with 128 to 512 measuring points and up to 2000 lines per second.
Pyrometers (radiation thermometers)
Point temperature measurement from –40 °C to 3000 °C, as spectral, ratio and fiber-optic pyrometers.
Furnace monitoring
Water-cooled furnace cameras for measurements up to 1800 °C in boilers, kilns and combustion plants.
Fire early detection
Infrared camera system for automatic thermographic early detection of fires.
Blackbody radiators (calibration radiators)
Reference radiators from –15 °C to 1500 °C for testing and calibrating pyrometers and thermography systems.
Pyroelectric infrared sensors and arrays
Sensors for temperature measurement, gas analysis (NDIR), spectroscopy and safety technology.
Temperature switches Series 48
Switching signal when a temperature threshold is exceeded or fallen below, e.g. in steelworks and forges.
Software
In-house developed evaluation and parameterization software for cameras, pyrometers and system solutions.
