About DIATEC Diamanttechnik
DIATEC Diamanttechnik GmbH was founded in 2008 in Pforzheim and is part of the Meyco Diamond Tool Group. The company manufactures custom-made and standard cutting tools made of monocrystalline diamond (MCD), polycrystalline diamond (PCD), CBN, CVD diamond and carbide, including diamond turning tools, milling tools, profile tools, engraving tools and dressing tools. Production comprises diamond machining with laser, diamond brazing in high vacuum, precision grinding on in-house developed grinding machines, EDM technology and CNC technology; tools are designed using SolidWorks. Customer industries include the optical industry, the jewelry and watch industry, mold making, lighting technology as well as contact lens and intraocular lens manufacturing. In addition to a regrinding service, the company offers PCD milling tools Ø3–20 mm via an online configurator with delivery times of 1–2 weeks. Since January 2026, Diatec has been operating together with Mössner GmbH in the new building at the Am Hohen Markstein site in Pforzheim.

Materials and Processes
Monocrystalline diamond
For diamond turning, milling and profile tools for the highest surface qualities and mirror turning.
Polycrystalline diamond
Used with abrasive materials, including configurable PCD milling tools Ø3–20 mm.
CVD diamond
For turning and milling tools as well as custom designs with high wear resistance.
Cubic boron nitride (CBN)
For machining the hardest materials, as turning and milling tools as well as inserts.
Carbide (HM/VHM)
Base bodies for turning tools as well as VHM micro end mills and tools for acrylic.
Silver solder
Solder material for the low-vibration setting of the diamond in the high-vacuum furnace.
Diamond machining with laser
Internal profiles and radii are pre-cut on the laser for shaping.
Diamond brazing in high vacuum
Brazing of the diamond in the high-vacuum furnace as a specialized joining process.
EDM technology
Machining of PCD, CVD, CBN and carbide in tool manufacturing.
